Veterinary Task Force
Veterinary assurance, training and consultancy for the operational working dog community.

About VTF
Founded in 2021, Veterinary Task Force (VTF) is a veterinary services company with a focus on the operational working dog community. Exped Vet is part of VTF and aims to empower veterinary, medical and canine professionals with the skills and support to excel in the expeditionary, charity, humanitarian and disaster relief settings. Between the two entities, we offer a portfolio of services across veterinary assurance, training and consultancy.

Training courses
Our flagship training course, Operational Working Dog First Aid, is a one-day course aimed at dog handlers across all sectors. It is certified by The CPD Certification Service and contains K9 TECC Recognised Educational Content, and builds confidence and competence in handlers to be able to deal with their canine casualty.
The course is hands-on, evidence-based and is centred around realistic scenarios. We can create bespoke training options, but also offer the Expedition Veterinary Medicine courses.
Fit for duty assessments
Clinical governance in the veterinary world means ‘a continuing process of reflection, analysis and improvement in professional practice for the benefit of the animal patient and the client owner’.
Utilising veterinary expertise to set high standards of animal health and welfare is one of our main offerings, optimising working dog wellbeing. We achieve this by forging links with clients, providing remote advice and conducting annual assurance visits (fit for duty assessments, vaccinations and parasite treatments).

Bespoke first aid kits
We have designed a series of first aid kits for working dogs, that cover individual (IFAK), vehicle and base location use, and enhance the ability to deal with the possible trauma and illnesses faced by working dogs.
These are available via our kit partners at MERE, but we also develop first aid kits with clients and can make bespoke changes relevant to the risks your dogs face and the level of training the handlers have had.
